Don't Let Your Parking Cause Problems
Share
The “good” parking space isn’t always the “best.” When parking your vehicle, consider backing into a space or pulling forward through two spaces so the front of the vehicle is clear.
With this parking method, you’ll have much better visibility when pulling away, making it safer and faster to leave an area. This is especially helpful during an emergency.
In addition, once you’ve parked your vehicle, take a look around at a distance of 5 yards and then a distance of 25 yards. This simple scan allows you to see things that could be a safety issue or a potential threat before you turn your vehicle off and get out. Lastly, you may be better off parking further away from a building. These farther spaces tend to have less traffic and better visibility. Plus it never hurts to get a little exercise in.
