This is one of the best ways I can think of to pre-stage a windlass-type tourniquet that I can think of. I bought one in coyote tan before, have a new Vertx EDC pack in black, had to have a matching TourniQuick pouch for it. This pouch will keep a ready-to-deploy tourniquet on a belt, backpack shoulder strap, or molle panel. This pouch keeps your tourniquet clean, dry and out of the sun. UPDATE: I had an issue with the last Tourniquick pouch's molle webbing/velcro not fitting great; must have just been a fluke, this pouch works much better and lays down smoother on molle with the malice clip included.
i like simple to deploy gadgets....because under stress simple is better/faster. Love ease of access....one suggestion....make it a SMIDGE bigger so we can fit a hemostatic in with the tourniquet. i did it, but it is just a little overcrowded in there.
Simple, straight-forward, and good
"Gadgets" that work well are awesome, and this is one of them. Good, simple, straight-forward idea that is executed well. Plus, it's domestic-made goodness.
This is gold!
I bought the "Tourniquick" Rapid Tourniquet Deployment Pouch in coyote tan. I.T.S. has a great concept here. It did take a few minutes to get my SOF-T Wide TQ folded like the included instructions showed. After packing, deploying and repacking my TQ several times, it became pretty obvious how to fold it up and how FAST you can get a TQ out! This is lightyears ahead of any fully enclosed TQ pouch that I know of. My only gripe is the "patent pending 4 way mounting system" - the MALICE clips are a hair too short, and the top and bottom velcro straps a bit too thick. If you attempt to PALS weave the pouch, its prone to an unsightly bunching up, like big time. It took some fiddling with mine to keep it *pretty* smoothed out when mounted to my mini rip-away BOK.
