The SPIE® (Special Purpose Insertion Extraction) Kit is our solution for the tools needed during an Escape and Evasion or a Home Invasion Scenario to escape from illegal restraint. This kit was not designed to thwart Law Enforcement or endanger those protecting our streets daily.
Escaping illegal restraint is heavily advocated here at ITS Tactical and as long as Zip Ties and Handcuffs can be purchased by anyone off-the-shelf from Army-Navy stores or a host of resources online, the average citizen needs to have access to these tools to escape potential illegal restraint.
Check out our new ITS SPIE® Pouch that's perfect for storing these tools!
The ITS SPIE® Kit includes:
- (1) FRS (Folding Saw)
- (1) Diamond Wire
- (1) Handcuff Shim
- (1) Quick Stick
- (1) EZ Decoder
- (2) ITS Polymer Handcuff Keys
- (1) Ceramic Tool
- (6) Feet of 188 lb. Test Cordage made with Kevlar®
- (6) Feet of Stainless-Steel Coated Leader Wire
- (1) Button Compass – Grade AA
Please check out the video below for a brief overview of these tools and their applications. For more information surrounding escaping illegal restraint, please view our Lock Picking Articles on ITS Tactical.
Please Note: ITS Skeleton Keys are strong enough to open some, but not all restraints. These are also emergency-use keys and while durable, may not hold up to the repeated abuse of daily operation.

I tested the Spie Kit and was impressed. The only complaint is that the blade was dull on the blade ( Minor issue)

High quality kit, definitely would recommend for EDC folks !

Everything works as intended with some training and practice. My only gripe is the size of the FRS. It feels like a tumor in the kit and makes a noticeable difference in wear comfort. That being said, I still love the kit and like the ability to remove the FRS, or carry it and deal with ait.

this is a fantastic product, this is actually my second SPIE kit because i use that one for practice i keep in the SPIE pouch for easy access and figured i should have one with tools spread around my various gear setups.
