Great lock vice

You cannot beat this lock vice for the price.

I wasn’t sure when I ordered this lock holder, but once I received it I immediately ordered more. The pictures don’t do it justice, it’s well-designed and very sturdy. I’m very reluctant to believe when something says ‘universal’ but this practice fixture may actually be universal—I’m kind of baffled, like someone who learns that unicorns are real.

Kind of bummed the price dropped right after mine was delivered, but what’s a few bucks? The product arrived intact and the quality appears good to me. Fits my practice locks nicely and has a solid grip on it. For the price, this is a great product.

To be honest a majority of this is on me for ordering a 10$ product, however, if you’re the owner of a desk that’s of average height good luck. You’ll either be hunched over at a weird angle or crouched down trying to get comfortable while using this. The lack of sideways expansion on the product keeps you from using most decent sized padlocks. In addition to this if you want to use a padlock vertically, good luck. You’ll have to mount this to one of the legs of your desk so you’re not picking a padlock horizontally. An additional set of holes and maybe a 45-35 degree mounting plate would have made this product infinitely more ergonomic.

Way better than expected!

While I ordered this expecting it to do a specific job of holding various locks securely, the actual construction, as well as versatility and capabilities make this clamp in lock holder a badass thing to get. The materials used are VERY sturdy, like, you have to deliberately try to break this thing. It also fits on this one table that I have that is kind of thick, and my clamp on vise wouldn’t even com close to fitting, not to mention I can change the angle of the lock holding part to suit whatever lock I’m working on. It’s even small enough to take on a business trip for on the go practice. 5 ⭐️ highly recommend.

Arrived bent so that the clamp to hold the lock in place would not work, but thanks to the sturdy steel construction I was able to easily bend it back into position with just a few taps.
