Excellent quality. Good training aid. Does need a bit of break in period to knock off the sharp edges.
This too really gives you the full grasp of what you were doing when picking locks. Great visual learning tool here!
I've been using it to practice along with some other old locks around the house. Its helped a lot. Only thing that caused a small bu.o was the last pin was so short it didnt have to be set to open the lock. I cannibalize an old door lock for a longer pin and now I have to pick all six to open it.
There are lots of little tooling marks on the lock body and a few dings here and there but functionally it operates very smoothly. Appears to be a machined brass body with a nicely machined steel plug. Pinning is dirt simple by removing the grub screws and swapping whatever pins you want to practice on. I'm using mine to test my house key with various security pins I've collected. My only complaint would be the lock is far harder to pick than the usual clear plastic bodies in the counter-clockwise direction because the slots leave little for the top pins to set on. Otherwise, this is a fantastic piece of machine work for people who want to practice SC1 keyway and easily change up the pins.
Overall experience very good always with the company. Although this product is seems more difficult than a real lock. I have yet to pick it but I can pick lots of pad locks
